How an updated website transformed the user experience for a global software company.

Overview

TANDsoft Inc., a trusted name in software solutions since 1993, needed a website that reflected their cutting-edge products and global reputation. Their original site, built in the ’90s, had become outdated in style, functionality, and accessibility. 

What started as a request to improve form functionality became a full redesign—resulting in a responsive, modern site that improves user experience and reinforces brand credibility.

As a freelance developer and designer, I partnered closely with TANDsoft to understand their needs and deliver a solution that met their expectations.

Understanding the Client’s Needs

From the beginning, the client’s top priority was improving the free trial request form. On their old site, the form opened an email draft, requiring users to send it manually—a clunky process that frustrated users and lost potential leads.

But as we discussed the broader user experience, it became clear that the website needed more than just a technical fix. The design was outdated, the layout didn’t adapt to mobile devices, and key product information was buried in downloadable PDFs. These issues weren’t just cosmetic—they were impacting customer experience.

TANDsoft needed a site that felt modern, trustworthy, and easy to navigate. They also needed a reliable partner to guide them through the redesign process, ensure nothing was overlooked, and bring a sense of calm to what can often be an overwhelming project.

A Thoughtful Redesign

With the client’s goals front and center, I approached the project with a blend of design sensitivity and strategic structure.

We chose a clean, modern WordPress theme that aligned with TANDsoft’s brand. I kept the original logo to preserve brand recognition but refreshed the site’s color palette to feel more contemporary, using cool blues, aquamarine and purple accents to give the site a calm but professional tone.

Throughout the redesign, I ensured the following improvements:

• Fully Responsive Design: The new site adapts beautifully to phones, tablets, and desktops.
  
• Streamlined Forms: Trial request and contact forms are now intuitive and automated, with built-in validation and file upload support.
  
• Visual Clarity: Key product details are presented clearly on each page, with better headings, icons, and layout—reducing the need to dig through documents.
  
• Improved Navigation: Customers can now quickly find product information, request support, or access datasheets with ease.
  

Every page was reviewed multiple times for clarity, functionality, and consistency. I created internal checklists to ensure no detail—like broken links or formatting issues—was left unchecked.

The Final Result

The final site is more than just a visual upgrade. It’s a more effective tool for the client’s business. 

It now:
